Our Company
Our Mission Statement
To foster the development of ecologically sound Agri-Business projects dedicated to the production of higher value added Agri-Food, Agri-Health and Agri-Energy products in an environmentally and socially responsible manner.
Our Focus
Outlook's primary objective is to become a major participant in the field of Renewable Resource Development by bringing together the partnerships and expertise necessary to build and operate non competing, ecologically sustainable, Agri-Business opportunities that are environmentally responsible and augment the Corporation's Bio-Economy Park model.
Outlook's management team has devoted the majority of its time and significant resources towards fostering the development of renewable Bio-Fuels and higher value added co-products in conjunction with renewable energy sourced co-generation projects.
The Corporation is distinctive in its technical expertise and remains dedicated to establishing its Bio-Economy Park designs anchored by cereal grain based fuel ethanol bio-refinery projects. The envisioned "Parks" will also be home to a series of higher value added co-product facilities implementing proprietary cereal grain pre-processing technologies for the production of fuel ethanol, industrial alcohol, ethyl acetate, acetic acid, barley oil, and unique soluble fibre products in addition to food-grade CO2 and distillers grain solids to be further processed for use in specialty livestock feeds.
With a focus on innovation and development of market-led applications, the Corporation is being positioned to generate revenue from the rapidly expanding Bio-Economy markets emerging in Canada and North America such as, fuel ethanol (as E10) and the fast growing Nutraceutical and functional food and specialty livestock feed ingredients sectors. The business development plan of Outlook Resources is targeted towards optimizing the anticipated federal and provincial government incentives associated with Canada's recent ratification of the Kyoto Protocol which will continue to drive ahead green energy opportunities.
To achieve this goal Outlook, in partnership with like minded groups such as First Nation communities and local farm producers intends to source, partner, develop and implement technologically advanced, ecologically sound projects allowing for the development of new market opportunities for higher value added co-products designed to foster sustainable development practices throughout the Agriculture Industry.
Outlook's near term goal is to continue to develop and build on the Corporation's Bio-Economy Park vision in select rural locations of Canada for the following reasons:
There is a socially and morally rewarding opportunity that exists when one considers the possibility of more fully utilizing the wastes and inefficiencies (the by-products of production) that have resulted from the globalization of food production over the past few decades.
The present day business model that supported the development of global food production, while creating great wealth in certain areas, has caused substantial losses in food security, human health, and community structure in other areas.
Every day millions of people around the world struggle to find clean water to drink and healthy food to eat. In some societies the single biggest barrier to be overcome is the simple inequality of finances while in others there simply are no better alternatives available.
To develop a more equitable balance between these "Have" and Have-not" areas of society, these inequalities need to be recognized and eliminated.
Environmental degradation such as groundwater contamination, soil erosion, loss of biodiversity and greenhouse gas emissions are some examples of the "hidden" costs that were not originally accounted for in the activities associated with supplying the global commodity markets. To counter these and other negative impacts of "globalization", we feel it is becoming increasingly necessary to concentrate on the development of highly efficient, economically viable, ecologically sound, production systems.
